There would be pages to write so much we are delighted.
What a joy to have been able to have Johanne and her husband Doug as home sitter with us.
Serious, adorable, respectful and discreet people who immediately seduced our 3 daughters, Praline the bichon, Griotte our European cat and our princess Mâscha a Maine Coon cat.
They are not only attentive, very available and knew how to put into practice all the logistics that we asked them for our animals.
We had news and photos while we were away and their private site allowed us to discover all of their trips around the world as a Home Sitter.
We found our villa very tidy and clean and in addition a good vegetable soup, prepared by Johanne, was waiting for us on our arrival.
We shared a good time of fun around the pool table before our departure, because because of this damn virus, we had to organize ourselves so as not to be stuck.
We left reassured and were able to create friendships with them for years to come.
I highly recommend them and are happy to see them again soon on another trip.

For our first home-sittting request, we were lucky that Johanne and Doug were available almost at the last minute. Because a few days earlier announcements of restrictions on entry into Portugal had been put in place. Fortunately they were already installed in the Algarve.
During their presence, they were able to make themselves available for the companies that had to come by and regularly gave us news, this allowed us to follow certain things from a distance.
They also insured for what was planned as for what was less.
We found our house in good order as well as a nice thank you card.

We were very nervous about asking strangers to take care of our animals and houses and vehicle whilst we went away but a Skype call with Doug and Johanne put our minds at ease Then almost every day of our trip we had an update and on our return we could see how well all our animals had been treated as well as being left tasty homemade food (chili and soup) and the fires put on so our house was warming up We would heartily recommend both to house and animal sit they are wonderful people who will leave your house better than when you left (they fixed the loose towel rail) and left everything clean with the van left with the same amount of diesel and totally happy relaxed animals.

La Drova, Spain – 2019
I wanted to offer our heartfelt referral for Doug and Johanne as house and pet sitters. We originally found them on the House & Pet Sitting Spain and Portugal Facebook page. After several PMs, emails, and even a phone conference, we felt more than comfortable arranging for them to house sit for close to a month. We live in the mountains in Spain, an hour south of Valencia, and planned to be out of the country from mid-November to mid-December.
We picked Doug and Johanne up at the airport and spent a few days before we left introducing them to our animals and getting to know each other. While we were gone our area had the worst flooding in over a decade and Doug and Johanne had to deal with everything from roof leaks to heating units that decided to stop working. They were absolute troopers and dealth with everything promptly and professionally — including removing all electrnics from the room with the worst leak so nothing would be ruined. We never had a minute’s concern about our home or our animals. The rain cleared the second week and Doug and Johanne made it up to the dogs with daily walks and extra outside time. When we came home, we found the dogs and cats healthy and happy and the house in great shape. I truly cannot recommend them enough. I know that we will absolutely use them again in the future.

I can highly recommend Doug and Johanne as house-sitters. They are very experienced and well organised, and seemed to settle in and bond with my animals very quickly. They are very competent, kept the house extremely clean and tidy and even did some little extra jobs in the garden such as raking up fig leaves,which was a nice surprise when I got home! They are a very nice couple, dedicated to house-sitting and taking care of pets as they travel the world. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.” 5 star rating on all counts!
